We thoroughly enjoyed the location, easy beach access and large home for our family of 8 adults and 4 small children. The home was clean and comfortable. The upstairs family room is also a 6th bedroom with small dormer mattress beds which we used for the 2 older kids. Also, the TV is upstairs and away from the main living/kitchen area which has a marvelous view of the ocean with wrap around windows. The main living area is the best feature of the house. The bedrooms are small but adequate. Having 3 bathrooms was great. The home is an older home and somewhat "tired" but we liked that with our small children and large family. We did not need to worry about tracking in a little sand on the tiled floors. We're already booked for next year!

The location can't be beat, if you want beach access and a view of the surf. Overall, the layout is fine-not an architectural masterpiece, but cobbled together well enough from earlier structures. It appears to have been nicely finished at one time, obviously having been outfitted by a ceramic tile connoisseur. But it has been allowed to deteriorate over the years. I know this is typical for a beach house, but at the price they are charging one expects a bit more attention to detail.
Why not take it off the market for a few weeks, repair the disolving drywall and missing tile in the bathroom, do a deep cleaning, patch the walls and repaint? Then it might be perceived as a better value.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, Thom. We're glad to hear that you were able to enjoy this home and all that it had to offer. We have passed along your comments to our local staff so that we can continue to make necessary upgrades to the home for future guests to enjoy. We do hope that we have another chance in the future to impress you!

Can't beat the location. Private walkway to the beach. Close to Cannon Beach and Manzanita but without the crowds that those beaches bring. Beautiful large deck with plenty of space for our 8 adults and 2 toddlers. Property manager was very attentive as the hot tub didn't work the first 2 days. Also needs a new washer but other than that everything was perfect for our family trip. House came with lots of beach toys for toddlers.
Manager response:
Hello Brian, We are pleased you enjoyed your stay, and that our local team was able to assist and resolve the issue you experienced with the hot tub. We hope to host you again soon.

The location is 5-star, right on the beach, it’s wonderful. All the beds that were utilized by the five of us were reported to be very comfortable, not always a given with a rental. Therefore, that is likewise a 5-star attribute. The house is large and easily accommodated five of us comfortably, there were six for one night, it was great. The kitchen was adequate with lots of silverware, glasses, plates, utensils, pots and pans, etc. However, we felt it necessary to wash some of the bowls and pans before using them because they did not appear to be clean. The main room with large west facing windows is terrific, incomparable views of the beach and ocean; also, five-star. Considering that that house is designated for as many as 12 people and one must assume that folks will be staying for more than a couple of days (we were there six nights) the available refrigerator/freezer space is suboptimal. On the downside some of the non-bed furnishings could use an upgrade, and the lack of bedside tables, bedside lights and no closet to hang one’s clothes makes this master bedroom less appealing. Likewise, during our stay we had to contact the company to (a) supply additional dishwasher pods – there were only five and (b) to repair a non-functioning hot tub. Once the lad (Robert) overseeing these things got back in touch with us he was very good about taking care of the problems. He even supplied us with his personal cell number, so we did not have to go through the exchange which is a less direct/less timely approach. Along with a relative shortage of dishwasher pods, the amount of toilet paper and plastic waste bags for garbage was very spartan. We managed to make do without having to request more, however considering the overall cost (over $10K for six nights) we ought not to have had to scrimp and/or call for more. It’s not like we were going to steal a couple rolls of toilet paper or a few plastic garbage bags after shelling out that amount of cash to stay there. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but considering the jacked-up summer rates we would not rush back to this house which has a somewhat beat-up feeling to it and could use some TLC to spruce it up.
Manager response:
Hi G. Duke, We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your valuable feedback with us. To clarify, we provide our guests with a starter kit of supplies. This includes cleaning supplies, toiletries, and paper products. Once these supplies run out it is the responsibility of our guests to provide any additional supplies throughout the remainder of their stay. Supplies are restocked before each guest. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused during your time with us. We appreciate you letting us know there is room for improvement, and we'll pass your comments regarding non-bed furnishings and refrigerator-freezer space onto our management team for consideration. We hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!. We look forward to hosting your next stay!

We loved the location right on the beach and the beautiful views of the ocean. It is an older home with a master bedroom without a master bathroom but other than that, our family enjoyed the home and vacation.
Carol A.May 2021
Beautiful view, beautiful home with enough room for family and pets.
Patricia S.Jan 2021
Great location to watch the waves! Be forewarned, in the winter, the tide is quite high so need to walk at low tide or be ready to run onto the rocks! Also, bring slippers as the floors are cold. Really a great spot. I imagine it's also fantastic in the summer.
3 stars due to discovering a broken dishwasher after trying to run it. When we called Vacasa, apparently this was known before our arrival but not communicated. So 5 stars to the house, 1 to Vacasa for poor communication/follow-up/compensation for broken hardware which impacted our stay.
Manager response:
Hello Patricia, we are disappointed to hear that the dishwasher didn't work and issues with communication, as this is not the high level of guest satisfaction that we hold ourselves to. We are currently replacing the dishwasher. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope we have the chance to host you again.

Fantastic ocean view and access. View from a great family room with fireplace. Very comfortable.
Starfish LLC .Sep 2020
The location is perfect, the home is perfect, the Wi-Fi is always on point, and it’s the perfect place to relax but also if you have to work remotely you can!
Nathan S.Jun 2020
Large home with good layout for preparing and eating meals while taking in the ocean front views. Upper level entertainment area and main level can create separation for larger families who want a separate kids area. Comfortable beds and furniture, well decorated, and a new hot tub on the deck to take in the sunsets. Very Relaxing and pet friendly!
jaymee d.Mar 2020
Love this home! This is our third year we have rented it. It is foot steps to the ocean. At night, the ocean gently lulls you to sleep. They have added a new refrigerator and laundry machines. They are improving it, and I highly support the upgrades.
Gina P.Feb 2020
Great location, amazing views, so close to the waves, perfect layout! Loved it!
Elizabeth M.Jan 2020
Location is unbeatable, the view is spectacular, and you hear the waves crashing in every room. It's spacious with plenty of bedrooms, mattresses were great and linens all top notch. The best thing is the great room, there's loads of comfortable seating with all glass facing the water, huge dining table with room for everyone, very well-equipped and functional kitchen. It's a charming, old-school beach house, very clean, and unfussy stylish decor. Perfectly suited to our big family - all ages plus dog. Great location for visiting Cannon Beach, Nehalem, Manzanita. We saw a big herd of elk between the houses and were blown away. Well stocked with board games and puzzles, great stereo speakers, wood-burning fireplace works well. Fantastic trip, highly recommend, we would rent again.
Deb F.Dec 2019
The ocean views from the main living space are not to be missed! We had a great week.
The upstairs spaces get a bit hot which is hard to balance with the cold bedrooms downstairs.
Benjamin M.Dec 2019
This house is a little older, but the location and views trump everything else. We loved our stay. We did full Thanksgiving for 15 people (with two staying across the street), and it's worth noting that the oven is only 24", which is small. We made it work, but it's a stretch for a large group. Did I mention location and beach access? Stunning.
Laurel B.Nov 2019
We loved everything about this home. We will be back!
Patricia N.Aug 2019
I reserved this house to celebrate my 60th birthday with my family. It was perfect. We had 12 adults and 2 dogs and the house never felt cramped. And the ocean view!!! Beach access was right off the deck and we took long walks every day, much to our dogs’ delight. The kitchen was basic but well-equipped.
The house was clean upon our arrival with fresh linens and towels plus tp and laundry soap (though we had to buy more during our stay due to size of our group).
I’m very grateful the owners let others use the property and made sure I left it better when I left by vacuuming the entire house, taking several weeks’ worth of recyclables to the center in Seaside, sweeping the decks, and cleaning the kitchen and coffee center. We appreciated the convenient location of the outdoor hose to rinse off sandy feet and paws.
There were very minor maintenance issues (loose handles etc.) that I communicated to Vacasa.
I appreciated the voice messages from Vacasa to make sure our visit was going well.
lawrence r.Aug 2019
in need of maintenance and some upgrading
Manager response:
Thank you for taking the time to review this home! Any specifics our guests can offer us are always greatly appreciated. We hope to hear from you!

So close to Cannon Beach!!
Jackie N.Jun 2019
This place is so relaxing, perfect location, perfect layout, soooo wish we could stay every year.
Lisa N.Jan 2019
Wonderful Girls trip at the beach! The view is amazing and the moms could watch the kids play in the sand from the comfort of the family room. Also well stocked kitchen!
William E.Jan 2019
A very inviting house for a large family or group of friends. Comfortable beds & pillows, well-stocked kitchen. This was our second stay Even though it rained for three of the five days we were there during the week between Christmas and New Year's, we really didn't mind, partly because of the great fireplace and stunning close-up views of the ocean. Outside deck and furniture need some updating, but other than that, big thumbs up for Casa Pacifica.
Mary P. W.Jun 2018
Wowsa! The view unbelievable, access to the beach is awesome, linens and bedding great!
Brandie S.May 2018
Loved the location, windows and floor plan. Easy to accommodate a large group.
Dawn P.Mar 2018
My family celebrated my mom's 90th Borthday at Casa Pacifica in March of 2018. This beach house provided a beautiful venue for this special occasion. What this property misses in typical fancy gourmet kitchen it makes up for in million dollar view, a access to long sandy beach and a community space that is warm and inviting. We have rented other fancier houses in the past but the unassuming down to earth venue was perfect for our celebration.
Carroll V.Jan 2018
The layout of the house if very nice for a family gathering. The kitchen is will equipped and it's nice to all be together in a large open area. The views are spectacular and the ocean is right outside the door. We all had a wonderful time. The only thing I would complain about is the price for comparable properties.
Sara Y.Oct 2017
The house overall was very nice. As some folks have said, it's a little care-worn, but the common spaces are comfortable and large enough for everyone to hangout and enjoy time together. The windows overlooking the ocean were great, and we enjoyed watching a good NW storm. There were a few minor maintenance issues, but the Vacasa team sounded like they were going to get them looked into.
MAYRA O.Oct 2017
Great place, well worth every penny!!!
Bernice L.Sep 2017
While there is the faint odor of cats, it's a comfortable home that's great for a larger gathering. Very close to the beach, but shopping will be a drive.
Mark And Laurie E.Aug 2017
We stayed at Casa Pacifica last year as well and liked it so much that we knew then that we would stay there again this year. First of all, the location is perfect: right on the beach. Also, there is plenty of room: There were 8 of us-- 5 adults, 3 toddlers, and a dog--and it never felt cramped. Also, all the tile work is lovely. The fireplace is great. The only reason that we won't be coming back next year is for the best reason of all: we are building our own beach house at Arch Cape, which will be ready in just a few months. We love Arch Cape.
Ann W.Jul 2017
First of all ... location location location! We loved the location and the beautiful gem of a beach. Definitely lower key than Cannon beach but equally if not - dare I say - more beautiful. The house's location is pretty center so you can easily walk to both North and South rock formations where tide pools and caves abound at low tide. Really stunning! The houses main room was a delight to be in. Comfortable for many or a few. Personally I loved having the TV on the upper level. All of the beds were comfortable and the house was clean. The kitchen was fairly well equipped and was easy to serve our crew from the bar top. I would definitely recommend and stay again! It was a fantastic family vacation!
Devon Z.Mar 2017
I walked up and down the beach and decided to look at all the other houses and this one I would say is the best one located in Arch Cape. It has an amazing view of the ocean all full of windows which I noticed not many of the other houses have.
Don G.Feb 2017
My family and I just got back from Casa Pacifica. There were eight of us and two dogs. Our children are grown and have moved out, so we decided to start a tradition of renting a house and spending time together.
We loved this place! The beach was right out the back door and the huge widows that looked out over the beach were amazing!
The kitchen, dining room and living room was large and easily accommodated all of us. The dining room table easily sits 10 and the coffee table was large next to a wrap around couch. We played games in both areas.
This place was so comfortable and with tile floors we did not have to worry about tracking sand and dirt in like you would if you had carpet.
Everything we needed was there. There were flash lights, wood for the fire place, and ax, and a grill. If you needed rain boots...there were some in the closet!
If you're looking for a fancy place...this is not it. If you want a place to hang out with your friends and family that is comfortable and feels like home, then this is it!
Plus a bonus was being able to bring our dog!
Hunter W.Feb 2017
Amazing location right on the beach - so close it seems the high tide will be in the Living Room. The Great Room has a wall of windows with a world-class view - it is truly stunning, and that makes it worth the price of admission.
The house itself is showing its age, and is not fancy by any means; yet it is plenty comfortable. In some ways it is even more comfortable in it's lack of fancy - you don't worry too much when you are there because the terracotta tile floors, plastic laminate counters and cabinets, and well worn surfaces would be hard to damage accidentally.
There are 5 (!) bedrooms, which is fantastic. It is hard to find a place that can accommodate so many adults at once. There are additional less-formal sleeping options for the young. Unlike some beach houses, this house is remarkable in that the interior doesn't smell musty or damp in the least.
One lucky couple will get the upstairs bedroom - the bed is pushed right up to a wall of windows looking out at the beach. Amazing view right from the bed, and not really a privacy issue.
Lighting is not the best in the Great Room (flickery and not distributed) and Kitchen (garishly bright blue-white). Nothing over the dining table. Bring some candles?
Beach is only sandy at low tides. Rock cobbles make up the upper part of the beach - not conducive to long strolls. Nice to walk at low tide though.
In summary the location and view make this all worth while. A bit expensive, but you'll be blown away by the view and enjoy your stay.
Holly B.Jan 2017
Loved the home. It was very clean. The oven seemed small but fit a 24 pound turkey fairly well. Perfectly beautiful location with amazing views. The home needs some upgrades but that wouldn't keep us from staying here again.
Garrett G.Oct 2016
The pictures make this place look immaculate but it is definitely a somewhat worn down beach cabin. That said it has all you need and will host a big group of people easily. The access to the beach and the views from the living room and bedroom upstairs are hard to beat. Overall a good experience and would rent it again.
Mark And Laurie E.Sep 2016
This is a great, big house with easy beach access, a wonderful view, and a big outdoor deck. We were 5 adults, 3 toddlers, and a dog, and we all had plenty of space. It never felt crowded. There is lots of beautiful and interesting tile work in the house and a big wood fireplace. The only other observations are that some of the wall outlets don't work and that the kitchen hasn't been updated/remodeled since the 60s. There is no shower in the upstairs bathroom and the sink is a ridiculously small triangle. These are, however, small concerns. That said, we are all planning on coming back next year.
Shalom P.Jun 2016
We loved the house, the location, and the beach. A few housekeeping items could be improved upon, but otherwise, its a great spot.
Katherine Z.May 2016
We were 8 adults and 2 small dogs staying 3 nights during the week.
First, the positive aspects of Casa Pacifica: the amazing ocean views from the living area, the upstairs bedroom, and one of the 4 downstairs bedrooms; the closeness of the beach; the deck, the fireplace and the variety of kitchen items.
The negatives: the construction of a house just yards away from Casa Pacifica with work being done during the days we were there (no notification of this construction prior to our arrival; workers' trucks/cement trucks in the road created a bit of a driving challenge as we drove to and away from the rental); the lack of a variety of pots (only found a very small pot and a very big pot); the microwave had a handwritten note saying "Broken, don't use"; the beds were rather soft and did not seem queen sized; the living area was difficult to cool off when we arrived on a very warm afternoon; and the 5 bedroom house needs more cleaning staff between rentals.
Overall we had a wonderful time; the weather was good; the ocean views outstanding; the beach so close.
Susan H.Mar 2016
This is such a cool place to stay, your jaw will drop when you walk in, the view and location is stunning. The house is filled with tile of all shapes and colors and the decor is comfy, and not pretentious. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen stocked and the sleeping area upstairs has a view out of this world. Yep, we will be back for certain.
Roger W.Mar 2016
I rented this home as a Christmas gift for my mother and family. They're from Eugene, I live in Olympia, so the location was ideal for everyone. The home is truly waterfront; the beach is literally steps from the deck. Views from inside the home are unobstructed and spectacular. The lay-out of the house is ideal for large groups (we had eight) to relax, unwind and never feel the least bit crowded. Casa Pacifica appears to be one of the older homes in the neighborhood. It’s in need of some modernization and general maintenance, but overall offered us most of the creature comforts we're used to. The kitchen is complete and had everything we needed to cook all our meals during our stay. The fireplace is a very nice amenity we used nightly. It was nice to sit around and get caught-up and unwind. We brought our own fire wood, but we noticed the convenience store just up the road had some for sale too. I give cleanliness three and a half stars (let’s just say it's not cleaned to Marriott standards). If that’s what you're expecting you'll be disappointed. I’m not bashing the place, but a little more time could be spent cleaning in-between guests.
Bottom-line, everything worked, we had a great time and I would stay there again despite the place not being what I'd originally hoped it would be.
Wendy M.Feb 2016
We just spent five days and four nights at this lovely house. It was a stormy night and the waves seemed just outside the window. It was perfect wave watching on the couch with a fire and glass of wine. After some early comments we came prepared with extra towels, sheets and pillows. Not at all necessary. The house is a little older but the charm and space for our group was fantastic. We cooked gourmet meals while others chatted close by. This is a great house for bigger groups and did I mention it is right on the beach?
Helen M.Jan 2016
Great house, great oceanfront view. Upstairs master bed and bath with four other bedrooms and 2 baths with showers downstairs. Great deck. Open living dining kitchen area with wood burning fireplace.
Philip W.Dec 2015
Wonderful location and worth every penny. This was a wonderful place to celebrate my parents 60th anniversary. My only complaint would be that we had difficulty finding the lock box. Although we eventually found it, we called Vacasa for help but they never called me back, which, if we would not have located the lock box, would have been a major issue. This complaint has nothing to do with Casa Pacifica, but only the service provided by Vacasa.
Lynn M.Sep 2015
We were really pleased to find this house and location available with such short notice. It's proximity to Cannon Beach, Seaside, Astoria, and Tillamook was great. The view from the house itself, and the beach, was incredible. Others have mentioned the cleanliness of the house, and that was an issue. The house is not cleaned well; there are limited cleaning supplies left for renters to use. If you desire fine linens, be aware that all of the blankets and sheets have holes in them. Overall, the beauty of the area outweighed the condition of the house.,
Great house....exceptionally clean! You are right on the beach and can enjoy ithe sights and sounds constantly.
Only drawback....diluted hand soap !!!??
Manager response:
We are happy to hear that you had such a wonderful experience with this ocean front home! The views and location couldn't be better. We will definitely check in to the soap situation. Thank you for choosing Vacasa!
Laura H.Jan 2015
Though there were some minor maintenance issues (i.e., the DVD/TV system didn't work at all and the dryer didn't dry well) we still very much enjoyed our stay. We are a family of 7+, and the house NEVER felt crowded, even with 3 generations and 2 rowdy dogs! Plenty of bathroom space and bedroom space, privacy for those who needed it, and the short walk out to the beach is fantastic! People who like to cook will be happily surprised at the amount of kitchen utensils they have (we brought our own and didn't need them!); we cooked all meals and never missed a tool.
We think we are going to have to make it a yearly trip because we had such a great time.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review. We are thrilled to see that you enjoyed your stay with us. The Property Manager is working on replacing the DVD player and he will look into the dryer as well. Thank you for choosing Vacasa!
Belva M.Aug 2014
The location of the property is perfect. The furnishings were good. The cleanliness was probably the only negative. Your staff was great. We definitely would like to stay there again and were very please with our whole vacation.
Wendy B.Jul 2014
Excellent location and beach! Amazing views! Great access to the beach! Could have been cleaner. Main room gets warm when the sun is out, had to purchase a fan to help with ventilation. All tile floors, bring comfortable slippers.
Renee K.May 2014
We have stayed at many places on the Oregon coast and this one has one of the best views of them all. It has huge windows across the front of the home and is only steps to the beach. The 5 bedrooms (with additional kids sleeping areas in the loft) made us feel very comfortable. The only addition I would request is a TV in the front room. We only had a TV in the loft and it made it hard for the older people to climb the stairs to watch TV. Only 1.5 hours from Vancouver, WA makes this a new "go to" for our beach visits. Thank you!
Manager response:
We are glad that you enjoyed the views and beach access from this unique home!
Stephanie H.Apr 2014
Casa Pacifica is in an amazing location with unbeatable views. The house is big enough for a crowd but cozy at the same time. If you're visiting with babies, you'll have some baby-proofing to do, and the older kids will love the spiral stairs and the sleeping nooks upstairs. (just make sure you check for cobwebs) The upstairs bedroom is a paradise for adults, too. Open, airy... the whole house is meant for fun and relaxation. We had a great time. Thank you!
