Recent Blue Mountain Beach vacation rental reviews

We had a great time at Redfish! We went after Christmas, so too cold for the pool, but enjoyed walking to the beach, donuts across the street, walking to the bakery and lunch spots. The unit isn’t the most updated (compared to others we’ve stayed in at Redfish), but it was very clean, very comfortable, and had a well stocked kitchen. We’d definitely book this unit again!

We loved our stay at Blue Mountain Beachcomber. The condo was comfortable and very close to the beach. The views from the patio are gorgeous. There are also great restaurants nearby!

Where is Blue Mountain Beach?

Featuring the highest elevation levels of any area along Florida's Gulf Coast, Blue Mountain Beach offers spectacular views of the water. Located along Highway 30-A, a famous strip of nearly 29 miles of roadway that offers beautiful beach scenery, this lovely little neighborhood sits between Santa Rosa Beach to the west and Grayton Beach to the east.

Things to Do in Blue Mountain Beach

Outdoor activities abound in Blue Mountain Beach! The area is home to the Coastal Dune Lakes of Walton County—Little Redfish Lake, Big Redfish Lake, and Draper Lake—and is one of only a handful of locations around the world that features these natural wonders. Here, you can fish, kayak, or take an eco tour with a guide who can teach you all about these wonderful phenomena.

Point Washington State Forest also lies within Blue Mountain Beach. Follow the trail and discover cypress swamps, longleaf pines, and large fields of wildflowers. Visitors can also enjoy hunting, off-road bicycling, and hiking—all great ways to experience the captivating nature that Florida has to offer.

Once you've gone back to one of our cozy Blue Mountain vacation rentals to freshen up, you can head to a local food shack like Johnny McTighe's Irish Pub. Be sure to check out Sally's by the Sea Store and Sally's Backside, a two-in-one store, hangout area, and eatery.

If you're looking to relax by the seashore, our Central Florida vacation rentals are the place to be. Book your Blue Mountain Beach vacation rental today, and soak up more than just Florida sunshine; soak up all the views, scenery, and activities that come with a perfect Florida beach neighborhood, too.
