Pelican Beach Resort - Destin, FL Condos

This condo was exactly what I was looking for. It was right on the beach, which is relatively hard to find in Destin and very clean. The view was amazing and thr resort is close to everything.

We stayed at Pelican Beach 1003 for one week during a slow time of year in December. Pelican Beach is a great resort that is currently under construction until 3/2023 so many of the amenities are not available at this time. I am not marking them down on the review because this was communicated through texts and emails from VACASA at the time of booking. The pool and hot tub is still available to use and it was great! Positives: The VIEW WAS AMAZING! The view from this condo is the BEST. Hands down one of the main features I wanted was a nice view of the ocean and this could not have been any better. I spent so much time on the balcony but even in the kitchen / living room / dining room, you are able to experience this view. Great having a full kitchen with all appliances, pans, silverware needed to make meals. It would have been nice to have some coffee and filters available, but we didn’t notice anything else missing in the kitchen. There is coin operated laundry available to use which is right across the hall from this unit so it’s very convenient. This unit is right across from the elevator and the parking is in a garage which is easy to access. Even though it was close to the elevator, it was still very quiet (except for the current construction). The pool and hot tub area are amazing! This was never too busy despite the other pools being closed for construction. December is a great time of year to visit Destin. Easy access to the beach! Short walkway and you are there. Convenient access to the main strip with restaurants and activities. Condo was very clean when we arrived. The cons: The condo is in need of updating. There are cracks in the ceiling above the dining room table which need to be repaired. They included some basic cleaning supplies and a broom, however, no dust pan. Furniture was not comfortable. The small couch and chair in the living room were not comfortable and neither was the bed in the bedroom. The chairs on the patio were also uncomfortable and dated. Overall, we would love to return to Pelican Beach. I am looking forward to coming back once the construction is complete to experience the rest of the pools, hot tubs, restaurants, and tiki bar.
